Buildings & Energy Ltd., is a licensed Buildings and Energy Assessment Practice based in East Lancashire . The company works hard to derive the most benefit for its clients from each site visit made utilizing the latest technology to offer Energy Performance Certificates, Home Condition Reports and a range of marketing services that are supplied at breakthrough prices.

Buildings & Energy Ltd. was established in 2006 and operates as a carbon neutral company, undertaking to offset its activity by investing in environmentally renewable activities both in this country and in the developing world.

Clive Cooper

Clive Cooper is the founder and principal assessor for Buildings & Energy Ltd. Prior to qualifying as a Home Inspector and starting the practice Clive spent 10 years in the construction industry specialising in the formulation of grant aid funded projects in developing countries, notably in Asia and East Africa. Since returning to the UK five years ago Clive has continued to undertake work in construction, operating the consultancy company Future Cooperation Co., Ltd. 

Roger Kendall

Roger is an associate domestic energy assessor with the company. Following several years in civil engineering he moved into further education as a lecturer / head of department in construction. He has managed the training and education of craft apprentices and students wishing to pursue careers in building surveying, quantity surveying and architecture.

Howard Carter

Howard is an associate Home Inspector with B&E Ltd.  With a first class honours degree in civil engineering from Lancaster University, Howard has many years business experience with British Steel, Alcan Aluminium and Volvo Cars. Now a fully qualified Home Inspector and Energy Assessor, he is offering technical excellence combined with very high standards of customer care.

Peter Montgomery

Peter is an Associate Home Inspector with B&E Ltd. and has broad experience of the housing industry having worked for many years with leading property development companies. Peter is also a fully qualified Home Inspector and Energy Assessor, able to deliver a wide range of solutions to clients including both the energy performance certificate and the Home Condition Report.

David Kelly

David is an Associate Home Inspector with the company. Prior to qualifying as a Home Inspector and Energy Assessor, David was Managing Director of a local engineering company. Since branching out into a new direction by undertaking training to become a certified home inspector David has managed to enhance his many years of client based experience with in-depth technical knowledge.

Steve Roberts

Steve is also an Associate Home Inspector with the company. Prior to undertaking the training to qualify as a property assessment professional, Steve spent many years as a fire investigations officer. As part of this remit Steve was exposed to seeing buildings in all manner of conditions, a foundation for understanding the nature of property. Steve is delighted to offer fire safety advice on all properties he visits.
